Hey everyone. I'm new to the clan here. My name on PSN is "jolt_upper", and I don't think the forums let me make it with an underscore when I made my account here. I was an initiate back in July of last year, and then AREZ disappeared for a while so I never followed through with it but I think I finished the process now to become a member.
I used to play SSF4 and HDR often and with FISTFULOFDOLLARz (who has an awesome Gen!), but I kinda took a break from fighting games for a while. Since MvC3 just came out, I started playing that now, and I'm pretty bad at it.
I've been playing ST for a long time casually, but back in '05 I met a few friends into fighting games at work and played a lot of CvS2 and ST with them where I got a lot better at those games. I played SF4 and SSF4 casually. I can't seem to get the timing down for some links but I don't practice it enough to be really competitive.
Anyway, I look forward to playing with you all!

Welcome back Jolt_Upper and congratulations on finishing the trials of inititation. We are glad you have returned to PSN and the site and we are proud to have skilled players like you in our clan. That Balrog is a monster...I don't think I even got one match on him last night The site may take a bit of getting used to, but it's pretty self-explanatory: Admins are in RED, Global Moderators are BLUE, Moderators are GREEN, Clan Members are BRIGHT YELLOW, V.I.P.s are DARK YELLOW, Initiates-in-trial are WHITE. There are also a lot of links that may appear hidden at times so you really have to study the screen closely sometimes to find what you are looking for, and obviously if you need to get back to the Home Page, the "Home" icon at the top tool bar is visible from every page on the site, as is the shoutbox. We are currently working on some new stuff and coding has been acting funky lately for some rreason, so if you don't see your name on the roster, it will be added shortly. In the meantime we will PM you the password to enter our Clan Members only section, which is only granted to those who have completed the trials and are full BLACK DRAGON. Welcome to the Clan and make yourself at home....feel free to post w/e you like....videos, matches of yourself playing, strategies, character guides, etc. We are always open to new ideas and suggestions as well on how to run the Clan and Site better.

Welcome, or should I say welcome back to The Black Dragon. AREZ pretty much summed everything up, but if you need help with something hit either one of us up in the shoutbox or via PM.
I'm curious do you have mame 32k 0.64 on your computer? Eric and I play ST, SFA3, and UMK3 on MAME all the time.

Ok, thanks guys. I don't play fighting games on computer because I don't have a controller that I like for it. If I do get one, I'll let you guys know.

If you have/like using a PS2 or N64 controller you can always get a usb converter off ebay...i have one where you can switch between N64 and PS2, heres a pic: just one of the many ways to get a controller working on your pc

I guess I can look into something like that, but I'm not sure if it'll help. I use a PS3 controller to play ST/HDR which is already USB, but there's no signed drivers for it on Windows

Bro, there's like a million drivers that support PS3 controllers for PC. Just Google it and you should get a ton of responses w/ tutorials to walk you through it

The process for installing drivers is different depending on what operating system your running. What operating system do you use jolt, Windows XP? Vista? 7? Like Eric just said you can go to google and type in something along the lines of "how to install ps3 controller windows (version)". I can help you find something I'd just need to know what operating system you use.

It's been going alright. How about you? We haven't played in a while! MVC3 seems pretty complicated to me, it's hard figuring out a team that's good for you and trying to learn combos for the characters. Is your Gen still holding up pretty well in SSF4?

Well, let's play some SSF4 or MvC3 sometime. Once tomorrow is over, I should have more time to play on Friday and Saturday.
